Hi, I’m Tom. I believe if you have a passion for something, you need to follow it. You also need to make it your own, which is why I created Elevation Station. I wanted to create a company that focused on personalised training that really made a difference to the lives of working people. So why would I do that? Let me tell you.

A major turning point in my life was when I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a young son and a pregnant wife and was making no money from my then career as an actor. During my post-operative time in hospital I noticed how the nurses were working and started to wish I had chosen a career more like theirs. Acting was a too frivolous profession and I felt I needed something else where I could make a difference to people’s lives. This is why I trained to became a Professional & Personal Development Consultant.

I had trained as an actor in the classic British way for two years on a Scholarship but decided I needed a different approach so I trained with a Ukrainian at The School of the Science of Acting. The Principal had been trained by a student then colleague of Stanislavski himself. Along with his own advances on the technique, it was a thorough 4 years training to develop the skills needed for “designing the thinking of an audience”. It is this training which makes me an expert in Presentation Skills, Communication Skills, Storytelling, Public Speaking and PowerPoint.

Give yourself all the breaks and Never take yourself out of the equation are two principles which I have learnt the hard way. In fact, I think I’ve learnt everything the hard way, until I started working in Personal & Professional Development.

So, as you can see, this is not just a job, this is a passion.
