Emotional Intelligence Training Course

Emotional intelligence (also known as EI) is the ability to recognise, understand and appropriately respond to the emotions in ourselves and others. It sounds simple, but not everyone is gifted with strong emotional intelligence. Fortunately it is not fixed at birth and just like general intelligence, it’s a skill which can be improved with practice.

Emotional intelligence is crucial for personal and professional growth by helping you develop your inner capacity to ‘read’ and ‘manage’ yourself and others, creating a ripple effect of positivity which won’t go unnoticed. EI is not only known as being an essential to improve the quality of our lives, but also an essential aspect of exceptional leaders and high performing teams.

This Emotional Intelligence training course, which is suitable for all levels of employees, aims to help the user develop and demonstrate their emotional intelligence, so they can become the best version of themselves.

Adam's Story
Adam is a clever guy who worked in biomedical sciences. He was in his early thirties but had worked in a lab all of his career. Recently, part of that career had been working on the covid vaccine. He'd done well and been offered a senior role at the NHS but only after a few weeks, it was suggested he take a couple of soft skills course.

Talking to him was fascinating as he explained his work and I was initially wondering why he'd been sent on a course. During the day, it became clear. Adam didn't really know how to relate to people, and since the majority of his job was now about working with people, this was clearly a problem.

Like all clever people, Adam worked at everthing which was thrown his way and by the end of the day, when I asked him what had resonated with him and what was he taking away, his reply was "People are not viruses". Funny, I know, but he meant it.
