This course is a two-day course.

Bill's Story

Bill was a regular guy who had risen through the ranks at a very big organisation. He'd started in accounts and, after passing several exams, had managed to rise up the finance ladder to a senior position. Thus making him a leader of team leaders. It was here, things stopped working. People stopped listening to him. Didn't give him as much eye-contact as they had before. Sometimes even ignored him in a lift, where as before, they would at least said 'Hi'.

He was unsure what the problem was. What he was sure about was he thought he could fix it which is why he came to me. After the two day course he realised that he had to change his entire focus of the job as that it was no longer about writing reports, giving employee assessments, and having meetings. It was now about having a vision of the company's future and motivating people to follow that vision.

This was a complete u-turn to his understanding of his job but he knew he'd hit the jackpot when he realised it that the higher you get up the ladder, the more your job becomes less about doing a job, and more about helping other people do theirs. He'd discovered the style of leadership which suited him perfectly.
