Our Trainer Training course is a comprehensive program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively train and develop others.
This hands-on course covers a wide range of topics, including instructional design, lesson planning, communication techniques and effective training delivery methods. Clearly, our overall aim will be to ‘walk the walk’, but since each trainer is unique and brings their own experiences and knowledge to the training room, we constantly highlight the qualities and skills they already have, while we introduce them to a range of techniques which will help improve develop their training design and delivery.
By investing in our 'train the trainer' program, organisations can save time and resources by developing internal talent to conduct training sessions in-house. Whether you are looking to enhance the skills of your current trainers or develop new trainers from within your team, the course will provide knowledge and practical experience, foster a culture of continuous learning and drive professional development and growth within your organisation.
This workshop is interactive with some theory and much practise, therefore attendees will be ‘on their feet’ doing, more than sitting and listening.
This course is a two day course.
Brenda ran an IT training course for a large company. Her job was to get people up to speed and at an approved level of understanding of a many different kinds of software. It all depended upon what was required of them.
After having done the job for around five years, she started to get jaded at her success (or rather failure) rate as it was not uncommon for employees to come back more than once to retake the training before they passed the required test. She couldn't understand what was going wrong and why they wouldn't learn. That is, until she came to me.One of the ways I work it to get people to workshop a typical training as close to their actual training as possible, with me and the other delegates as their trainees. This is to give everyone an understanding of what is going on and what can be done to improve it. With Brenda, it became clear which simple change she could make to improve her chances of her trainees developing. And that was: to move the tables and chairs.Brenda had always taught from the front which her trainees sat behind a monitor in rows, looking at her. The meant she had no idea what they were actually doing. Her big decision was to move the tables in to a U-shape and give the trainees swivel chairs so they could easily turn between their work on the computer, and watching Brenda demonstrating. It also meant she was able to sit behind them and easily see what each trainee was doing and therefore have a much better chance and helping them avoid mistakes. Her last words when leaving were "I've never seen anyone do that before, and I don't know why. It's so obvious".To see if our communication training for employees is right for you, and discuss your goals and concerns, please complete our online contact form, to book a free consultation.
